Well Web SERP Tool – Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 3, 2026
Well Web SERP Tool is a browser extension built by Well Web Marketing. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.
Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It does not send any information to our servers or to any third party.
Data stored locally on your device
The extension uses Chrome’s built-in storage to save your preferences and analysis results on your own device. This includes:
- SERP analysis results and saved batches
- Tracked domains and competitor domains
- Export format preferences
- Recent location selections
- Onboarding and UI preference flags
This data never leaves your browser. It is automatically cleaned up after 30 days of inactivity.
Google Search pages
The extension runs a content script on Google Search result pages to read and highlight SERP positions. It reads the publicly visible content of the search results page you are already viewing. It does not modify your searches, intercept your queries, or access your Google account.
Permissions explained
- activeTab — access the current tab’s content when you click the extension
- tabs — detect when you navigate to a Google Search page
- storage — save your preferences and results locally
- sidePanel — display the extension interface in Chrome’s side panel
Third-party services
The extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, or any third-party services. There are no external network requests.
Data export
You can export your analysis results as CSV or JSON files. These files are generated locally in your browser and saved to your device. No data is uploaded anywhere during export.
Changes to this policy
